Speculators Scrambling to find out who is behind Michaeljacksoncasino

A new online casino surfaced last week, and industry speculators are scrambling to find out who is behind it. Michaeljacksoncasino.com not only infringed on the late singer’s estate and trademarks, but also came with no banking information, no software provider information, and no customer service.

The website owner, who has yet to be identified, and GoDaddy.com, the site that registered the domain are being sued by Howard Mann, who claims to own the copyrights to the photos featured on the site. If the lawsuit goes ahead, the owner of the strange online casino will have to be identified.

The UIGEA places the burden of policing online casino gambling transactions in the hands of banks and other financial institutions. Rep. Barney and other lawmakers believe that the millions of people in the United States who practice online casino gambling should be protected by the law, not penalized as criminals.

Legislators in favor of new online casino gambling laws asset that gamblers who are of legal age should have the option to place bets over the internet. The heart of the issue is human rights, and the intervention of the government in the lives of its citizens.

It is not yet known whether Michaeljacksoncasino.com processed any transactions involving US bettors. What can be seen on the site was many pictures of the King of Pop himself, along with quotes from the late Jackson.

GoDaddy has already responded to the lawsuit, which they claim to have not yet seen. The company did say they would "vigorously" defend themselves if they were named in the suit. Reports have also surfaced, but not been confirmed, that the Michael Jackson site was an affiliate of sportsbetting.com.
